Pierre Bonnaud is a clinical specialist physiotherapist based in Stanwick in East Northamptonshire. After years in the City of London, managing large corporate projects, he 'left it all behind' to follow his passion and study physiotherapy. Pierre graduated from St George’s Medical School in London in 2007 with a first class BSc in Physiotherapy. From there, he moved to work full time for Guys and St Thomas NHS Foundation Trust in London.
Pierre gained extensive experience while at Guys and St Thomas' where he worked in all areas of physiotherapy, but spent the majority of his time in the Neuro-musculoskeletal settings including musculoskeletal, orthopaedic and trauma wards, fracture clinics and hand therapy. Pierre also loves to explore the neurological arena and has a particular interest in motor learning and management of long term neurological conditions such as stroke, Parkinson’s disease, Multiple Sclerosis and motor neuron disease.
Pierre is also trading his skills in the occupational world; working with large international clients and treating their workforce, assessing their workplaces and providing simple and practical advice to employers and employees alike to help reduce accidents and facilitate early returns to work.
His enthusiasm is contagious and his no nonsense approach allows his patients to achieve great results.
Pierre combines his occupational physiotherapy expertise with considerable experience from within the business and sports physiotherapy worlds having worked with athletes from football, rugby, triathlon and tennis (for which he has a passion) and he currently coaches his 3 year old son and 18 month old daughter who will become the next top players in the world.
As a young boy and a teenager Pierre was a national level gymnast in France in his age groups and held a national ranking in tennis under 15. He also started piano at the age of 5 and he still plays regularly. He has abundant curiousity and is able to 'juggle' many things at once.
His next project is… still to be defined but he is open to ideas, be it starting a jazz band or setting up an indoor tennis academy (for which he would gladly help to start a funding activity) or maybe just find a philanthropic donor, either way... watch this space.
